Everyone deserves a birthday cake. You Are Special’s mission is to deliver personalized cakes to those whose birthdays might otherwise go uncelebrated.
Our Mission
The mission of You Are Special is to provide birthday cakes to women, men and children to help them realize they are special and to show them they are valued members of the community. Volunteers make and deliver cakes to those whose birthdays may otherwise go uncelebrated.
Operation Home Baked
A program within You Are Special, Operation Home Baked provides cookies to our service men and women who will not be home for the holidays. To date, over 470,000 cookies have been shipped to those brave men and women protecting our freedom.
Our Community Partners
You Are Special works with more than twenty programs throughout Milwaukee and Waukesha counties to provide birthday cakes to the individuals they serve.
Beyond baking, our organization has grown to serve as a convener between our community partners and our volunteers. Simply put, we connect those who want to help with those in need of help.

Whether funding birthday cakes for those whose birthdays would otherwise go uncelebrated, delivering emergency essentials (such as diapers and personal care items) to non-profit service agencies, or defraying the cost of shipping holiday cookies to our troops, your contributions bring happiness and hope to those in our community.
